This sustainable potholder is made from recycled fiber felt and gives new life to discarded work clothes.

Each piece is part of the circular economy and tells a story about Finnish work.

The trivet has two different colored sides:

the green side is made of industrial workwear and
The red side of the work clothes used by paramedics.

The textiles have been removed from circulation during industrial washing, after which they have been opened into fiber, which is then carded to make felt.

Please note that the trivet is not suitable for use under the hottest cookware, as the textile fibers it contains can melt in the heat.
