An amazing pouch and so many different colors!

Can you believe we’ve made the felt out of recycled textile fibers?

This pouch is made from workwear that was decommissioned during washing because it was no longer usable.

The textiles were opened into fibers at Rester’s Paimio production unit.

The sewing was done by the superstars at a Turku workshop, creating more employment opportunities for them.

These are some of the first mass-produced products made from recycled textiles.

We are constantly learning so much more about how to make products more durable and recyclable. The carbon footprint of this product is 70% smaller than if it had been made from virgin polyester.

We are also proud to state that the product is made in Finland!

DELIVERY METHOD AND COSTS
The packaging and delivery costs for your order are €5.90. We offer free delivery within Finland for orders over €100. We ship your order as standard delivery to a Posti service point or parcel locker. Shipments can be tracked using a tracking number. Please note that Posti keeps parcels at the pick-up point for 5 days.

The delivery cost for rolled products is always 12 euros.

We have manufactured this felt from recycled textile fibers in Salo.

The recycled textiles have been cleaned in an industrial laundry and opened into fibers at our partner Rester’s production facility in Paimio. The textiles are often workwear from hospitals, large industrial plants, or service companies. The colors tell the story of the textiles' origins. Our sewing is carried out by Salon Kolmituote and Turun Työpiste, as well as the Framila Cooperative, among others.

The felt may pill during use; this is normal for recycled felt and can be easily removed with a fabric shaver.

We use interesting ecological materials in our products, such as felt made from recycled plastic bottles and textile waste fibers.

Recycled fibers from clothing

Discarded textiles are clothes that have reached the end of their life cycle. They can be utilized in many ways. Blankets made from Vilikkala's recycled fibers are primarily derived from Finnish workwear that has been decommissioned at the end of its life cycle during industrial washing. Thus, they have become new raw material once again. The vibrant colors are the original colors of the garments and are part of a wonderful story.

Pipsa is a TV-known chef with an interesting career as an influencer in the fashion world. She has conceptualized two products for Vilikkala, both inspired by everyday life.
