Storage basket Kaukuri is a versatile and ecological solution for organizing your home. This KAUKURI storage basket is made from recycled fibers, consisting of fiber blends used in clothing, such as cotton, wool, and synthetic fibers like polyester. The felt may shed dust and microfibers related to these fibers, which is normal for all textile products.

The basket is designed for use both at home and in the workplace, and its dimensions are 26x18x15 cm, making it well-suited for various spaces. The workwear has been processed back into fibers at the Rester production facility in Paimio. This means that by choosing this product, you are supporting Finnish circular economy practices.

The inside of the basket features rPET felt, which is made from 80% recycled PET plastic, such as used beverage bottles. This makes it not only an ecological but also a durable option for storage use. The felt has been steamed and finished into felt at Vilikkala’s Salo production facility, ensuring the product's high quality and usability.

DELIVERY METHOD AND COSTS
The packaging and delivery costs for your order are €5.90. We offer free delivery within Finland for orders over €100. We ship your order as standard delivery to a Posti service point or parcel locker. Shipments can be tracked using a tracking number. Please note that Posti keeps parcels at the pick-up point for 5 days.

The delivery cost for rolled products is always 12 euros.

The felt material is made from 70% Finnish textile waste, such as workwear. The material contains 30% new polyester binder fibers. The textiles were removed from circulation at the end of their life cycle after industrial washing.

Discarded textiles are clothes that have reached the end of their life cycle. They can be utilized in many ways. Blankets made from Vilikkala's recycled fibers are primarily derived from Finnish workwear that has been decommissioned at the end of its life cycle during industrial washing. Thus, they have become new raw material once again. The vibrant colors are the original colors of the garments and are part of a wonderful story.
